About the Bazaar

The decades-old tradition of the St. David’s Bazaar brings the parish, Day School, and community together once a year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving to have some fun while preparing for the holiday season. Some parts of the bazaar are institutions, such as the Greens Sale, a visit from Santa Claus, and a Food Court that includes everything from oysters to one parishioner’s famous egg rolls. But we also keep current by changing what we sell and how we sell it. The Country Store offers foods and crafts (ranging from jams and homemade soups to pinecone turkeys, amaryllis bulbs and/or flower arrangements for the Thanksgiving table). We also secure vendors who bring high-quality shopping to patrons. And in any given year we might include a series of beautifully assembled raffle baskets, some geared to kids and some offering experiences like a Ravens night or a beach vacation. We cherish this opportunity to capitalize on the current talents and resources of our parish and celebrate the coming of Christmas as one big church family!
